History

Named after the lead deposits found in the land, Lead Hill has a mining heritage which dates back to the early 1900s. The old mining town was buried under the waters of Bull shoals Lake when the lake was created in the early 1950s. At that time, residents moved to the new Lead Hill, located on higher ground.
